AGILOX
AGILOX is an omnidirectional AMR platform with distributed X-SWARM coordination, built for internal transport in facilities where routes and priorities change frequently. No fixed routes, no reflectors and no changes to the building infrastructure.
The portfolio includes four models with payloads from 300 to 1,500 kg, designed to move pallets, containers and dollies in floor-to-floor, floor-to-conveyor and floor-to-rack flows.
Who AGILOX is and where it excels
AGILOX develops omnidirectional AMR platforms for automating internal transport, with a system architecture that combines the mobile robots, distributed X-SWARM coordination and an adaptable operating logic. Unlike AGV systems with fixed routes or marker guidance, AGILOX robots navigate freely and coordinate their missions in a decentralised way, which makes the platform relevant in facilities where flows change, traffic is mixed and adaptability matters as much as the performance of the equipment itself. AGILOX is developed by AGILOX Services GmbH in Austria.
AGILOX brings the mobile robots, the X-SWARM coordination software, the HMIs and the connectivity together into one coherent system. It is not just a robot model but an operating platform that treats automation as a system solution rather than an isolated piece of equipment.
The platform is relevant where routes, stations and process logic have to adapt quickly. AGILOX allows reconfiguration without major infrastructure work, which suits environments with evolving processes or variable operating requirements.
AGILOX is designed for environments where robots and operators share the same space. Its detection and coordination systems are built for safety in mixed traffic, which is relevant in manufacturing and industrial intralogistics, where equipment and people working side by side is the norm.
Main AGILOX models
The AGILOX range covers floor-to-floor, floor-to-conveyor and floor-to-rack flows, pallet and container stacking, pallet handling and specialised dolly scenarios.
Maximum payload: 1,000 kg

Maximum payload: 800 kg
Suited to scenarios with raised stations, conveyors and transfer points where the operational interface calls for more advanced logic.
Maximum payload: 1,500 kg
The model for floor-to-station applications and pallet handling in scenarios where capacity and pick-up flexibility are decisive.
Maximum payload: 300 kg
The AGILOX solution dedicated to dolly flows, where the load format and the operating logic call for a very specific approach.
Where AGILOX makes sense
AGILOX is particularly suited to flows where freedom of movement, quick adaptation to route or station changes and operation in mixed environments matter. The applications below show the types of scenario in which the AGILOX platform delivers clear value.
AGILOX is well suited to internal transport between fixed or semi-fixed points at floor level, in repetitive flows where the route has to be adjustable at short notice.
Floor-to-conveyor and floor-to-station scenarios rely on clear interfaces with the transfer points. AGILOX OFL and OCF are suited to these integrations, where the hand-over and pick-up logic is well defined and repetitive.
In applications with delivery or pick-up points at racks or dedicated stations, positioning accuracy and consistent robot behaviour are critical. AGILOX performs well in stable, well-defined flow structures.
AGILOX OCF is the relevant model for handling open or closed pallets, in scenarios where the load, the format and the pick-up interfaces call for a more robust configuration and higher capacity.
AGILOX ODM is the dedicated solution for flows in which the load travels on dollies. Its configuration is designed specifically for this flow logic, which differs from the classic fork or pad approach.
Where routes, priorities and interaction with staff change frequently, AGILOX brings the advantage of a system designed for mixed traffic, with integrated safety rules and the flexibility to respond to rapid operational changes.
These applications are relevant across several industrial environments. Relevant industries.
How the AGILOX platform works in practice
AGILOX is not only the robots on the floor but also a system architecture that supports coordination, integration and day-to-day operation. The platform is designed for scenarios in which control flexibility and deployment speed matter as much as the hardware.
AGILOX uses distributed coordination logic between the vehicles, a real advantage in flexible AMR operations. In simpler scenarios this approach reduces the dependence on central infrastructure and allows a quick response to changes. In more complex projects the wider integration architecture remains relevant, but the distributed foundation still provides significant operational flexibility.
The AGILOX platform provides clear operational control through browser-based interfaces and dedicated HMIs. This makes monitoring and daily use straightforward without over-complicating the operator's interaction, which matters for teams that have to manage the flow without extensive training.
AGILOX is relevant where integration with ERP, WMS, MES, doors, conveyors or other infrastructure elements matters. Open interfaces are part of the platform's logic and allow it to connect to the customer's existing ecosystem, which is essential in projects where the AMRs have to communicate with the rest of the system.
One of AGILOX's strengths is rapid deployment and fleet expansion without long configuration phases. This matters in projects where time-to-value and the speed of operational launch are important criteria, and it allows the move from pilot to production within a realistic timeframe.
AGILOX in dynamic operations
AGILOX shows its value where the flow is not rigid: routes change, obstacles appear, traffic is mixed and several robots have to work in a coordinated way, without fixed infrastructure and without depending on predefined routes.
AGILOX robots can move and reposition precisely in every direction, which helps in areas with limited aisles and in fine manoeuvres at pick-up or drop-off.
When an obstacle appears, the robot drives around it and continues the flow with fewer operational interruptions.
AGILOX is suited to environments where people, machinery and other vehicles are moving, with no rigid fixed-route logic.
AGILOX units communicate with each other, share out the orders and react in coordination as one system, not as isolated robots.
How we assess whether AGILOX fits your flow
The analysis and the conversation do not start from the robot but from the flow, the space and the operating rules. AGILOX can deliver real value in scenarios with mixed traffic, changing routes and a need for fine manoeuvres, especially where omnidirectional movement and fork-type construction give it agility in tighter areas. Our role is to validate whether these advantages genuinely matter in your operation and to define the right integration into the existing system.
We identify how many active routes exist, how often they change, what kind of mixed traffic operates in the area and where the critical intersections are. This analysis determines whether distributed coordination and natural navigation bring a concrete advantage over a fixed-route system.
AGILOX is so agile precisely because it combines omnidirectional movement with a fork-type construction. In tighter spaces, in fine manoeuvres and in areas with more difficult access, this combination can make the difference.
We establish how the robots communicate with the doors, conveyors, lifts and the WMS, MES or ERP systems already in operation. In an AMR project, the quality of the integration determines whether the fleet works as part of the process or remains an isolated piece of equipment.
We define the traffic rules, the mission priorities, the charging zones and the fleet's behaviour in peak scenarios. The X-SWARM architecture allows units to be added without central reconfiguration, which makes later expansion faster and less costly.
Questions about AGILOX
AGILOX is most relevant in intralogistics flows with changing routes, mixed traffic, multiple transfer points and a need to adapt quickly when the operation changes.
Omnidirectional movement helps with fine manoeuvres, precise repositioning and smoother operation in areas where space is limited or where correct alignment at pick-up and drop-off points matters.
Yes, in many scenarios it is. The combination of omnidirectional movement and fork-type construction is exactly what makes it so agile in narrower areas, provided the layout and the operating rules are validated correctly.
Yes. Depending on the project, the platform can be integrated with the on-site infrastructure and with systems such as WMS, MES or ERP, so that the robots operate coherently within the existing flow.
Each AGILOX unit operates with obstacle and person detection sensors, combined with dynamic avoidance logic and traffic rules that can be configured per zone. At project level, we define together with the customer the sensitive zones, the intersections, the right-of-way priorities and the fleet's behaviour in mixed traffic, so that the robots operate predictably and safely in the real working environment.
As a rule, the project starts with a flow analysis, validation of the transfer scenarios and a definition of the integration. Only after that stage do we configure the solution and the commissioning plan.
