What PALOMAT does

PALOMAT is an automatic pallet dispenser, also known as an automatic pallet magazine: it stores empty pallets in a stack and releases or takes them back one at a time, automatically, whenever the flow calls for replenishment.

The fleet manager assigns the mission: the robot collects the empty pallets from PALOMAT and takes them to the point in production or assembly where they are needed.

PALOMAT® is manufactured by PALOMAT, Nykøbing Mors, Denmark; Novomatix integrates the dispenser into the pallet flow, together with the mobile robot, the transfer points, and the control logic.

  • Storage and bufferEmpty pallets at one controlled point.
  • Stacking and destackingAutomatic, in both directions.
  • Supply on demandPallets are presented to the robot when the flow calls for them.
  • ReplenishmentManual or automated, with the robot.

PALOMAT AMR and Robotize GoPal

Two transfer architectures

The PALOMAT configuration follows the robot architecture and the transfer method.

PALOMAT AMR

For platform-type mobile robots.

The pallet is placed straight onto the robot's platform and taken back off it, with no transfer station.

Configurations
1200×800, 1200×1200, and 1219×1016 mm, with a dedicated configuration for each format
Magazine capacity
15 pallets · max. lifting capacity 500 kg
Integration
Dedicated Robotize GoPal configuration: a separate article, for 1200×800 pallets, with the Robotize interface kit

PALOMAT AGV

For fork-type mobile robots.

The pallet is released and collected at floor level, at the transfer point.

Configurations
1200×800 and 1200×1000 mm, with a dedicated configuration for each format. On request, PALOMAT AGV can be adapted to other four-way entry pallets.

Each PALOMAT AMR, AGV, or Stand Alone is an article configured for a single pallet format. The format is chosen at order and is not switched in operation. PALOMAT Inline is the separate case: the same unit can be designed for several four-way entry pallet formats.

Without a mobile robot

PALOMAT® Inline mounted over a roller conveyor, in a production hall

PALOMAT® Inline

It integrates directly into the automated line or the conveyor system. Empty pallets are stacked or released automatically, in step with the process.

Pallets: four-way entry, several formats in the same unit

PALOMAT® Stand Alone

It works as a standalone station for empty pallets. They are fed in and taken out at floor level, with no mobile robot and no conveyor.

Pallets: standard EUR and industrial configurations; other formats on request

We integrate the equipment into the material-flow logic

We configure the robot, transfer, buffer, and control logic so empty pallets return to the process when and where they are needed.

Automate the empty-pallet return as well
